Who are we?

Kingsgate Church is an evangelical, charismatic church in the beautiful market town of Bury St Edmunds. We seek to follow Jesus faithfully, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God the Father. We uphold the Bible as the Word of God and recognise that we need the Holy Spirit's anointing to fulfill the good works that God has prepared for us to walk in. We serve the local community in outreaches like the Kingsgate Community Allotment, The Hang Out youth club, Prison Alpha ministry into Highpoint Prison and ministries to our local Women's Aid centre and nursing homes. Our vision is that everyone will be just "one hand shake from the King", in other words, everyone will know somebody who knows King Jesus and will have the opportunity to be able to decide for themselves whether to follow him too.  We are part of the Relational Mission group of churches which is a sphere of New Frontiers.
